Inside COMFIT Relief Valves: general characteristics
COMFIT USA / Hollywood, FL / October 2nd 2023
Relief valves are among the most crucial safety valves. They are designed to limit the pressure within a system by releasing it to the atmosphere when the system’s pressure exceeds a set limit. This is accomplished using a spring set to a specific tension, known as the set pressure. The set pressure is the minimum pressure at which the valve will start to open should the system pressure exceed the designated limit.
General Features
Compact designed one piece body to reduce space.
Service up to 6000 psig (413 bar).
Multiple springs for a selection of set pressure ranges.
Low friction bonnets to increase both accuracy and to improve consistency of cracking and reseal pressure.
Valves available factory-set to a specified set pressure.
Identifying color coded springs and labels indicate spring cracking pressure.
